PTFE-/Elastomer-Composit-Dichtsysteme

TEDAG Seals Technique and Industrial Needs Corporations is developing and producing seals systems of elastomer and PTFE for 30 years. Most versatile needs demand for seals in dynamic applications. For a variety of seals, such as piston and rod seals for hydraulics and pneumatics as well as the shaft seals and U-seals, the sealing edge is formed by a vulcanized PTFE coated sealing foil. The adhesion to other sealing materials is minor and therewith PTFE has a lower friction value then elastomer materials. The wax-like surface of PTFE and its property to cold flow when in combination with flexible clamping elements of elastomer, provide its particular properties to these sealing systems. It is suitable for dry running and allows a stick-slip free work movement, it does not stick to any gliding partner, not even during long stagnations and has a longer life cycle at higher operating temperatures. The assortment of Tedag products shows the appropriate and approved blends of PTFE and elastomer when in contact with food.
